episode 3 ......... Nowhere Palace

As a continuation of the previous two episodes / dialogues between me and the artist Go-Eun Im, this work synthesizes a variety of archival, cinematic and other visual and textual references. The footage of the transformation of the ruined interiors of the former film museum into a TV media center, recordings of the 16mm film workshop, and the spectacular setting of the new film institute are put into dialogue with literary excerpts, postcards, films and other archival materials relating to the film and media history. Some of the film montages are also reanimated with drawings and watercolors on paper.

With these work-dialogues we continue to test (and taste) solidarity in between a variety of image technologies that create and influence our ways of relating with the world.
